Jesuit 6-foot-4 senior point guard Devin Harris, whose 26-1 team enters the Class 5A state playoffs ranked first, has received an offer from Division I East Tennessee State.
It's Harris' first offer, Coach Neal Goldman said. The Buccaneers' roster is rife with local connections. Sophomore Rashawn Rembert (Sickles) and senior Lukas Poderis (Ridgewood) are former bay area standouts; assistant Scott Wagers coached at Robinson.
The leading scorer (15.7 ppg) on a team with four players averaging double figures, Harris also averages 3.4 assists, 5.6 rebounds and 2.2 steals. A 78-percent free throw shooter, he has scored in double figures in 24 of his 25 games.
