Baseball super seven
Records through Thursday
1. East Lake (20-3): Eagles won the PCAC north and did not lose a regular-season game against a Pinellas opponent.
2. Seminole (19-6): Go to Jesuit and beat the then-national No. 1? That’s good enough to jump into the No. 2 spot.
3. Clearwater Central Catholic (21-4): A shocking loss to Northside Christian was followed with a win over Berkeley Prep.
4. Calvary Christian (19-6): Warriors have lost two of their past three, but hang on to the No. 4 spot.
5. St. Petersburg (13-10): Green Devils lost by a run to Dunedin in their PCAC game, but won five straight prior to that.
6. Countryside (15-9): Cougars got the No. 2 seed in 7A-10 district tourney and will likely play Pinellas Park in the second round for a spot in regionals.
7. Pinellas Park (14-9): PCAC south champion has three players hitting over .400 and a team batting average of .382.
