Carrollwood Day infielder Dominiq Sicardo has signed with Pasco-Hernando Community College, the first player from the program to earn a college scholarship.
“I could not be prouder of the work and effort Dom gave to our team this year,” CDS coach Nick Rodriguez said in a written statement. “He will have great success at the next level.”
Sicardo, who plays third baseman and catcher, was a four-year starter with the Patriots. As a senior, Sicardo hit .313, including nine RBIs and one homer.
He will join a PHCC program that is 31-21 and recently advanced to the NJCAA district tournament in Morehead City, N.C.
