Two North Suncoast prospects landed scholarship offers Monday.
UMass became the second program to offer Hernando LB/RB Jeremiah Jackson, the Leopards senior said in a text message. Purdue has also offered Jackson, a hard-hitting 6-foot, 215-pound all-North Suncoast prospect. Last fall, he rushed for almost 500 yards while racking up 132 tackles and three sacks.
UMass offered Jackson as a running back.
Weeki Wachee OL Marcus Applefield picked up his fourth offer, from FAU, he announced on Twitter. The 6-foot-7, 275-pound Applefield is the first Division I recruit in the program’s brief history. He also holds offers from Rutgers, UMass and Marshall.
