Hernando County recruiting is having one of its biggest springs ever.
Hernando lineman Connor Foradas is the latest piece of evidence. The 6-foot-5, 275-pound senior earned his first college offer Tuesday, from Purdue, Foradas said in a text message.
Foradas was one of the top linemen for the Leopards last season, paving the way for a ground game that took Hernando to three straight playoff appearances for the first time in program history. Coach Dwayne Mobley said last week that Foradas is also becoming a nastier player – a good trait for lineman prospects to have.
Foradas is also receiving interest from FAU, FIU and Middle Tennessee State, among others.
Foradas is the second Leopard to get an offer from the Boilermakers, after LB/RB Jeremiah Jackson. Three other county players hold college offers: Nature Coast DE Rohan Blackwood, NCT WR Jonathan Thomas and Weeki Wachee OL Marcus Applefield.
