The Jefferson girls basketball team will have its fourth head coach in five years.
Dragons athletic director Bernard Cannon has confirmed to the Times that second-year head coach Natanya Miller is no longer with the program. There was no explanation given for the change.
Miller went 27-21 in two seasons leading Jefferson, which had previously been one of the bay area’s strongest programs. The Dragons bottomed out this winter, going 7-14 and failing to make the playoffs.
The Dragons had gone 83-8 in the three seasons, including the school’s first state tournament appearance in 2010, prior to Miller’s promotion from junior varsity coach.
