Less than two weeks after receiving a campus visit from Alabama assistant Chris Rumph, Plant City offensive guard Montel "Blind Side" McBride has received an offer from the Crimson Tide.
Raiders assistant Greg Meyer announced the offer Monday afternoon. McBride (6-foot-4, 330 pounds) has more than a dozen offers to this point, including ones from FSU and USF. Kentucky and Mississippi State are his other SEC offers.
McBride, who bench presses more than 345 pounds, has been clocked at just over five seconds in the 40-yard dash. He was offensive line MVP at the Nike Football Training Camp in Orlando in March, and won the same honor at an MVP Camp in Valdosta, Ga., in February.
He currently is deemed a three-star prospect (out of five) by Rivals.com.
