Indian Rocks Christian catcher/pitcher Matt Schaefer has committed to Clearwater Christian College, according to coach Adam Moravick.
Schaefer hit .354 with 15 RBIs, two home runs and six doubles as a senior for the Golden Eagles. On the mound, he was 2-2 with a 0.74 ERA and 24 strikeouts in 28 innings.
Schaefer was a Times' all-county honorable mention this past spring. He will join teammate Cody Tibbetts at Clearwater Christian College. Clearwater Christian plays at the National Christian College Athletic Association Division II level.
