Sickles TE/WR Chett LeVay, the Gryphons' top returning receiver, has committed to Florida International University, Coach Brian Turner announced Monday.
He becomes the second Gryphons senior to commit to a Division I school this summer, joining OL Zach Hudson (Missouri).
LeVay, who committed while visiting the Miami campus this past weekend, also had an offer from Massachusetts, Turner said. Despite his commitment, he could receive more offers has his senior season progresses.
LeVay (6-foot-3, 215 pounds) had nine receptions for 99 yards and two touchdowns as a junior, and is projected to increase those numbers this fall. Last season's top two receivers, Bilal Salat and DeAndre Mathis, have graduated.
