After a year off, former Mitchell star Jake Driscoll will continue his basketball career at Georgia Highlands, Mustangs coach Jared St. Charles said Tuesday.
Driscoll, a 2012 Mitchell graduate, didn’t play basketball this season after a broken arm sidelined him for much of his senior season. He left the Mustangs as the school’s all-time leading scorer, and his 51 points against Wiregrass Ranch in 2011 set a program record.
The 6-foot sharpshooter averaged 22.6 points and 7.4 rebounds for Mitchell as a senior and had earned looks from Division I programs before the injury.
He will attend the junior college in Rome, Ga. on a full ride.
