Plant senior offensive lineman Ray Raulerson has orally committed to Tennessee, according to Panthers coach Robert Weiner.
Raulerson will join a 2014 recruiting class already considered one of the nation’s best under new Volunteers coach Butch Jones. As of now, recruiting website Rivals.com reports Tennessee has 23 commitments for next year’s class.
Raulerson, who boasted more than 25 scholarship offers, would be the fourth offensive lineman in the Vols’ incoming group.
The 6-foot-5, 285-pound Raulerson will enter his third year as a starter for Plant in the fall, the anchor of what should be one of the state’s top offensive lines.
“He is a dominant offensive lineman,” Weiner said, “equally adept at devastating run blocking and impermeable pass” protection.
