St. Petersburg catcher Aaron Haughton recently committed to South Carolina Upstate, said his coach, Travis Phelps.
Haughton was a Tampa Bay Times' all-county honorable mention and first-team all-PCAC pick.
USC Upstate is a non-football Division I school that plays in the Atlantic Sun Conference. The baseball team was 28-30 this past spring.
