We're featuring some of our HomeTeam 100 players, including our No. 31 player, Northeast ATH Keith Harrington:

Harrington was a key player in Northeast going 7-4 last season. As a junior, he rushed for 681 yards and three touchdowns and added 691 yards receiving and seven touchdowns. This season, he’ll play an even bigger role.

Eight Northeast players recently transferred out of the program, including starting quarterback Ryan Davis. Harrington, who is zoned for Northeast, stayed with the Vikings. The defections left several holes in the Northeast offense, and Harrington will try to fill as many as he can.

“It’s a team game; it’s not just one person,’’ said Harrington, a Washington State commit. “But I’ll do a little running back, a little quarterback, a little wildcat. We have a lot of different packages we’ll try.’’

Harrington (5-10, 185) won’t be the main quarterback; that job is Chuckie Krasuski’s for now. He did play quarterback briefly during his sophomore season due to injuries. But Harrington will get more touches this season than ever, possibly even in the defensive secondary if the team needs help.

“We were going to use Keith a little bit more anyway (before the transfers),’’ coach Mike Jalazo said. “We’re going to be a little more balanced. We’re going to run it a little bit more. When you have a player like Keith, it makes that decision pretty easy.’
