East Bay PG Jonathan Jean picked up his second and third offers in rapid succession Monday, snagging an FAU offer shortly after receiving one from West Virginia.
His first offer, from Northern Arizona, arrived earlier this month. Indians coach Billy Teeden said the Mountaineers especially have been following Jean closely all summer. According to Teeden, WVU coach Bob Huggins likened his game to that of former NBA journeyman (and University of Cincinnati All-American) Nick Van Exel.
A 5-foot-11 rising junior, Jean averaged 14.2 points and 4.4 assists last season. He has spent the summer as a travel-squad member of the Nike Team Florida AAU squad.
