Bishop McLaughlin has hired Anita Davis as its new girls basketball coach, Bishop dean Joe Jasinski announced Tuesday afternoon.
Davis played high school ball at Wharton and Chamberlain and has coached club teams, including Tampa Elite and Tampa Inferno. She takes over for Jasinski, who stepped down after two seasons to take an administrative role at the school.
The Hurricanes boast one of Pasco County’s top young players, Brielle Downing, who set several school records as a freshman last winter.
