Pasco DB Damien Wilson has been suspended for one game after being ejected from the Pirates’ 56-17 win over rival Zephyrhills on Friday night.
Wilson was ejected after a second-half scuffle in the 9-Mile War, which gave Pasco the Class 5A, District 6 championship and put Zephyrhills into tonight’s tiebreaker with Anclote and Fivay.
The FHSAA’s report notes that the ejection calls for a one-game suspension, which means Wilson will miss Pasco's regular-season finale against Delray Beach Village Academy on Friday. He could return to play for next week’s Class 5A region quarterfinal against Citra North Marion.
The 5-foot-8, 155-pound senior recorded 19 tackles and two passes defended in the Pirates’ first seven games of the season to help Pasco remain undefeated.
