Tampa Prep 6-foot-8 senior Adonis Rwabigwi, the top rebounder for the Terrapins' Class 3A state championship team last season, has committed to Furman University.
Terrapins coach Joe Fenlon said Rwabigwi had narrowed his choices to the Palladins or Boston University, though he had "plenty" of other suitors.
"He's interested in engineering and architecture, so he never looked at a school that didn't offer one and/or both of those," Fenlon said. "Furman and Boston University seemed to fit what he was looking at most."
A Rwanda native who arrived in this country two years ago, Rwabigwi averaged 10.6 points, eight rebounds and 2.6 blocks last season for the Terps, who finished 31-1. He becomes the second Terrapins senior to commit to a Division I program, joining PG Josh Heath (USF).
Heath and Rwabigwi may formally sign their letters of intent on Nov. 14.
