D.J. Bowles, a first-year player at local prep school Oldsmar Christian, has orally committed to Wichita State after his weekend visit there, according to his coach Jordan Fair.
Bowles, who played last year for Cleveland High School in Tennessee, was previously committed to UCF before having a change of heart in July.
The 6-foot-1, 175-pound point guard has been courted most recently by Murray State, Penn State and Xaiver, to name a few. He averaged 17.9 points, four rebounds and three assists for Cleveland last season, where he played the past two seasons.
