Lakewood safety Brujoun Bonner has been waiting all week to make his college choice public. He finally did so on Friday, selecting the University of Memphis.
Bonner, who had 122 tackles and eight interceptions as Lakewood's top player in the secondary, also had interest in Iowa State and Indiana.
"I'm a Tiger,'' Bonner said in a text. "I'm so proud.''
Memphis finished 3-9, 1-7 in the American Athletic Conference. One of the Tigers' wins this season came against USF. The Tigers are coached by Justin Fuente.
