St. Petersburg Catholic offensive/defensive lineman Elevisi Halapio has accepted an invitation to play in the Polynesian All-American Bowl.
The game will be played on Jan. 18 in Tustin, Calif. The game features the top Polynesian high school players from across the country. Teams will be coached for former Polynesian NFL players Dan Saleaumua, Manu Tuiasosopo and Jesse Sapolu.
Halapio, 6-foot-3, 250 pounds, had 13 sacks as a defensive lineman and was part of an offensive line that allowed the Barons to rush for over 3,000 yards. He was recently named the defensive MVP of the Pinellas County all-star game.
