Plant City jumped out to an early lead and cruised to its fourth consecutive playoff appearance with a 4-0 shutout win over King in the Class 4A, District 9 girls soccer semifinal at East Bay.
The win Monday was the third shutout in the past four games for the Raiders (17-2).
“We played all of our players — that’s not common at this point in the season,” coach Caleb Roberts said. “We were just trying to find what was going to work in going forward.”
Ericka Lott scored two goals to push her season total to a team-high 24. Emma Mitchell also scored, and Plant City’s other goal came on an own goal by King (4-12).
The Raiders will play the winner of Tuesday’s 3 p.m. semifinal between Hillsborough and host East Bay.
