East Bay qualified for its third consecutive postseason appearance with a physical 4-3 win over Hillsborough in Tuesday’s Class 4A, District 9 semifinal.
The Terriers (7-7) couldn’t capitalize on Ashton Davis’ hat trick, including two goals in the first 12 minutes.
Allie and Zoe Haeck each had goals in the first 20 minutes, and Ashley Privette’s goal off a corner kick put East Bay (8-5-2) ahead 3-2 midway through the first half.
Astrid Caal added another Indians goal early in the second half to help seal the victory.
The Indians face Plant City in Friday’s district championship.
