Northeast running back Keith Harrington visited Washington State on Thursday and returned Sunday. Harrington, who is expected to be a slot receiver for the Cougars, said he couldn’t have been happier with his visit.
“I loved it,’’ Harrington said. “I loved the environment, the campus, the coaches. I got to tour the campus and got to meet some of the players. It was great. I can’t wait to get there.’’
And as an added bonus, he said the weather in Pullman was actually pleasant for January. Harrington, who also plays on the Northeast basketball team, said plans to go to Washington State in the summer after graduation.

He has gotten interest from Indiana, Western Kentucky, South Florida, Ball State, Bowling Green and Massachusetts but no formal offers.
“We’re still waiting on Joc,’’ Lakewood coach Cory Moore said. “It will happen for him.’’
Moore said as many as 11 seniors could sign, but right now only three have committed.
“It could happen real fast and we end up getting all 11 signed,’’ Moore said. “That’s how it happens sometimes.’’
