Plant City defensive end Sedrick King flipped his commitment from UCF to Nebraska on Monday, Raiders coach Greg Meyer confirmed.
“They obviously did a good job staying after him despite what was considered a pretty solid commitment,” Meyer said in a text message.
The 6-foot-3 Raider had 50 tackles in 2013 and a pair of interceptions, one of which helped seal a 14-13 win against Durant on Sept. 20.
In other Plant City recruiting news, class of 2016 wide receiver/defensive back TJ Chase was offered by the University of Miami, Meyer said. Chase, who missed games late in the season due to injury, recorded 28 receptions for 562 yards and four touchdowns in eight games.
