Admiral Farragut running back/linebacker Cortavious Givens has committed to play for Fairmont State in West Virginia.
Givens has played with the Blue Jackets for four years. He suffered a knee injury as a sophomore and missed most of the season. He returned for his junior year and scored three rushing touchdowns as the secondary back behind Todd Macon. He mainly played middle linebacker.
This past season, Givens played all nine games and was the Blue Jackets’ main running back. He also started every game at linebacker.
Fairmont State is a Division II school that plays in the Mountain East Conference. The Falcons were 3-7 last season, 2-7 in conference play.
