A few recruiting notes on Thursday morning:

Nature Coast OL Christian Pellage landed one of his biggest offers so far when Alabama extended him a scholarship Wednesday. The four-star junior is one of Rivals’ top 200 recruits for the class of 2015. The 6-foot-7, 270-pound prospect also holds almost two dozen offers, including Florida State, Miami and Florida.

Mitchell DB Josh Lamb claimed his first offer, from Michigan Tech. The 6-foot senior battled injuries but still amassed 86 tackles, a sack and 13 passes defensed last fall.

Plant City sophomore ATH TJ Chase claimed an offer from Kentucky.

Pasco TE/DE Bowman Archibald picked up an offer from Rutgers. The Scarlet Knights have recruited the North Suncoast well – Weeki Wachee OT Marcus Applefield enrolled there at the start of the second semester, and former Pirates star Janarion Grant had a big impact at Rutgers as a true freshman last fall.

Hillsborough sophomore OLB Azeez Al-Shaair earned a recent offer from Florida International, the Terriers announced via Twitter. The 6-foot-1, 207-pound Al-Shaair was one of Hillsborough County’s most productive players last season, racking up 110 tackles and 8.5 sacks. He also forced three fumbles.

Freedom DE Scott Patchan added his latest offer, from Louisville.
