Canterbury's Chris Olson, a standout in the discus, signed his letter of intent to attend Florida this past week during an assembly attended by students.
Olson, a senior, was a region qualifier in his signature event as a freshman and a state qualifier the past two seasons. At last year's Class A state meet, he finished fifth with a throw of 144 feet, 5 inches. His personal record is 168-9.
The Gators men's track program has won four Southeastern Conference outdoor titles and six indoor titles.
