Jefferson alum Quentin Williams hits stride at Bethune-Cookman

When Quentin Williams wrapped up his senior season at Jefferson, he had passed for more than 4,300 yards, rushed for 840, scored 61 TDs and helped bring home the school's state football championship.

It's no surprise, then, that he has found success in college at Bethune-Cookman.

Staff writer Joel Anderson recently caught up with Williams, who will be starting in Saturday's Florida Classic against FAMU. Since taking over as the starting quarterback in Game 3 this season, Williams is closing in on 1,000 yards passing and has led the Wildcats to the MEAC championship.

"I think they're finally finding out how good he is," says Mike Fenton, Williams' former coach at Jefferson.
