Strawberry Crest will honor five athletes at a 2 p.m. signing ceremony Wednesday at the school.
Swimmers Cole Wisecarver (Florida Atlantic) and Angie Gallastegui (West Florida) will be the first swimmers in program history to sign with colleges.
Wisecarver won a district championship and tied for 12th at the Class 4A state meet in the 50 freestyle. He also won a district title in the 100 free and placed 14th at state.
Gallastegui won a district championship in the 500 freestyle and placed 10th at state in that event. She also qualified for state in the 200 free.
Teammate Zach Kitzis will be honored as a walk-on at FAU.
Sarah Rowley will sign to play softball at Penn. Rowley, a second baseman/outfielder, has a .348 batting average with four RBIs, two stolen bases and six runs scored this spring for the 7-1 Chargers.
Teammate Trystan Reibsome will sign with the College of Central Florida. The third baseman’s .571 batting average is the highest among everyday players. She’s also scored nine runs this season.
