Remi Pimm, the top offensive player on the North Suncoast, is the Florida Dairy Farmers’ 2014 Mr. Soccer.
Pimm led the state in scoring with 64 goals — setting a county record — 167 points and 39 assists. Pimm appeared at both midfielder and forward for the Seahawks, who went 29-2-1 and reached the state semifinals.
Pimm, a sophomore, was previously chosen as the Class 3A Player of the Year.
Micah Smoak, a player for state champion Melbourne, was the runnerup for the award after the final round of voting by a statewide panel. Reed Cawthon of First Academy, Tomer Bitton of Boca Raton and David Shafer of Bishop Moore Catholic were also considered.
This is the second year a local athlete has been selected for this honor. Last year's Mr. Soccer, Shaddy Douidar, played for Tampa Prep.
