Super 7
Records through Wednesday

1. Jesuit (12-2): The Tigers took a road trip through Pensacola and New Orleans, coming home with three victories and outscoring their distant opponents 15-4.
2. King (12-1): The Lions’ only loss came on a Kyle Tucker (Plant) home run in tournament play, but the heavy-hitting Lions lead the county with seven home runs of their own.
3. Steinbrenner (9-2): Cole Gordon went 2-for-3 Wednesday to help lift the Warriors over Plant, a team coming off a 12-game win streak.
4. Plant (11-4): The Panthers have dropped a pair of games this week, but that’s understandable after they cruised through six games in a seven-day span to win their first Saladino Tournament in a decade.
5. Alonso (13-2): The Ravens were ousted in the Saladino semifinals, but they’ve rebounded with a 4-1 win against Robinson and remain one of the teams to beat in Hillsborough County.
6. Jefferson (11-5): The Dragons showed their fight last week with a late-game rally to beat Strawberry Crest and make their fourth straight Saladino championship game. Then Jefferson continued its dominance by stringing together 16 hits and putting up 28 runs against Blake on Wednesday.
7. Strawberry Crest (9-5): Mark Moclair’s no-hitter and Flabio Garcia’s 8-for-13 performance at the plate turned heads during the Saladino Tournament, where the Chargers earned their second straight semifinal berth.
In the conversation: Tampa Prep (10-4), Hillsborough (8-3), Brandon (8-6), Tampa Catholic (5-4)
