Super 7
Records through Wednesday
1. Clearwater Central Catholic (9-0): The Marauders had a big test at East Lake on Thursday, and next week gets no easier with the Dunedin spring tournament.
2. Osceola (10-2): The Warriors came off a 1-0 loss Wednesday, then a tough turnaround with Countryside on Thursday. They’ll be one of the favorites next week in the Dunedin tournament.
3. Northeast (9-4): Not sure any school plays a harder schedule. The Vikings beat East Lake and Countryside in a four-day span and will play in South Carolina over spring break.
4. East Lake (10-3): The Eagles need to wake up the bats now that April is almost here. They will head to Orlando over spring break instead of playing at the Dunedin tournament.
5. St. Petersburg (8-5): Pitching was a question mark this season, but David Sockol and Dylan Mlotkowski have thrown strikes. The Green Devils will try to defend their title next week at the Steve Georgiadis tournament at Seminole.
6. Countryside (7-4): Like Northeast, the Cougars play a tough schedule. They had a test at Osceola on Thursday, play Calvary Christian on Saturday, then have the Dunedin tournament.
7. Calvary Christian (10-2): The Warriors have won three straight after losing 6-0 to St. Petersburg Catholic. Not only does Countryside await Saturday, but the Warriors are in the Dunedin tournament.
On the bubble: St. Petersburg Catholic (7-5), Pinellas Park (8-6).
