Each week, our HomeTeam staffers nominate male and female Hot Shot athletes from each of the counties we cover. Then we turn the voting over to readers. These nominations span Saturday, March 15 through Friday, March 21. The winners get a T-shirt and bragging rights over every other school in the area. Read up on all of our nominees then vote until noon Monday.

Female nominees
Jennifer Kistemaker, Osceola track:
The area’s top pole vaulter set meet records by clearing 11 feet, 6 inches at the USF/Steinbrenner Invitational and 11-1 at the Ed Wells/Kiwanis Invitational.

Maggie Parrish, Chamberlain track: The sophomore won the 3,200 at the USF/Steinbrenner Invitational with a time of 11:46.95, a personal record. Parrish was the only girl to finish in less than 12 minutes.

Megan Reed, Strawberry Crest softball: The Florida signee blasted a home run in a 12-0 win over Bloomingdale and had another in a win over Steinbrenner. She also drove in a run in a 4-3 win over Wharton.

Alfreda Steele, Pasco track: Steele set two personal records at the USF/Steinbrenner Invitational. She finished first in the 100 (12.13) and 200 (24.23), and third in the long jump (18 feet, 4 inches). The latter two were PRs.

Morgan Tolle, River Ridge softball: The senior had two runs and three RBIs in the Royal Knights' 12-1 win over Countryside for the Lady 'Canes Invitational title. Then in Friday's opening round of the Leopard Slam, she hit her fifth home run of the season and added four RBIs in an 8-0 victory over The Villages.

Olivia Welsh, Dunedin track: At the Ed Wells/Kiwanis Invitational, she tied the meet record in the pole vault (11-1) and set the meet record by winning the 100 hurdles in 14.91 seconds.

Male nominees
Jordan Feist, Brandon baseball:
Feist went 2-for-3 in Brandon's 2-1 win against Strawberry Crest on Friday and scored the winning run in the sixth inning after getting on base with a double. The Eagles' district win snapped a three-game losing streak.

Malik Johns, Pasco baseball: The senior was key in the Pirates' last two games of the Pasco-Hernando Classic. He set down Sunlake's batters in order in the seventh inning to preserve a 2-1 victory and scored in the seventh inning of the championship game to send the game into extra innings.

Trevor McKenna, Central baseball: The senior stepped up for the Bears all week during their Pasco-Hernando Classic run. He picked up the win against Springstead in the semis, allowing no runs and throwing five strikeouts, and pitched part of the night in Central's 12-inning championship win over Pasco.

Ahmad Middleton, Dunedin track: Swept the 110 and 300 hurdles at the USF/Steinbrenner Invitational and Ed Wells/Kiwanis Invitational. At the USF meet, he set a record in the 300 hurdles (38.09 seconds).

David Paul, Clearwater Central Catholic baseball: The senior pitched a complete-game three-hitter in a 4-1 win over East Lake on Thursday night. He also had an RBI single that tied the score in the fourth inning.

Ryan Voyles, Bloomingdale track: The sophomore leapt a personal-best 45 feet, 8 inches to win the triple jump at the USF/Steinbrenner Invitational. The mark shattered his previous best attempt of the season and would have earned him a medal at last year’s state meet.
