A National Signing Day that dawned at Jesuit -- 7 a.m., to be specific -- wound down at Tampa Prep.

Point guard Josh Heath and center Adonis Rwabigwi, two vital cogs in the Terrapins' Class 3A state tournament run last season, formally signed their paperwork Wednesday evening with USF and Furman, respectively.

Heath's dad, now officially his coach for the upcoming four years, drove over from east Fowler Avenue for the signing.

Heath is coming off a dazzling junior season in which he averaged 12.4 points, a team-best 7.1 assists and 2.5 steals. In the state semifinals, a 56-50 overtime win against Jacksonville Providence,  he had 21 points, six rebounds, four assists and only three turnovers.

Rwabigwi, a 6-foot-8 Rwanda native, averaged 10.6 points, leading the Terps in rebounds (8.0 rpg) and blocks (2.6).
