The Dunedin Spring Tournament started with a rainout and on Saturday it ended with a rainout. The championship game between Clearwater Central Catholic and Osceola was postponed due to a strong line of showers on Saturday afternoon.

Rain also washed out consolation games scheduled for earlier in the day. Tournament organizer and Dunedin coach Ron Sexton said he is working with both schools to arrange a makeup date some time in April.

CCC and Osceola each won three games in three days to reach Saturday’s final. The Marauders were scheduled to pitch ace David Paul, while Osceola pitched ace Keith Weisenberg in a 2-0 semifinal win over Dunedin.

This is the first time in the 45-year history of the tournament that the final was unable to be played due to rain.
