Baseball: Tampa Prep's DeTringo signs with St. Petersburg College

Tampa Prep shortstop Nick DeTringo has signed with St. Petersburg College, Terrapins coach A.J. Hendrix reports.

DeTringo, who signed with the Titans on April 17, has a .351 batting average and 10 RBIs this season along with more than 100 career hits. DeTringo and the rest of the Terrapins will play Lakeland Christian in the regional quarterfinal on Wednesday.

DeTringo, a four-year starter, has helped lead Tampa Prep to a regional final and a final four appearance in the last two seasons.
