Gibbs' Sajon Ford announced via Twitter that he has committed to Northeastern.
Ford, a 6-foot-11 power forward, picked the Huskies over nine schools, including Auburn, Butler and Virginia Tech. He will join his older brother, Quincy, a former Gladiator standout who is a starter for Northeastern.
"I liked everything," Sajon said of Northeastern."It was a lot more than just the basketball aspect that attracted me. It's rare that a person gets everything he wants in a school. On top of that I absolutely believe that all the coaches will take care of me as they did my brother."
Last season, Ford averaged 5.9 points and 6.5 rebounds per game.
