Zephyrhills junior Jordan Roberts was cleared to play this week by the FHSAA after a month-long inquiry into his eligibility.
Roberts, a Division I football prospect at receiver and cornerback, was held out of the Bulldogs’ Nov. 2 football game against Pasco that decided the Class 5A, District 6 championship and the next week’s three-way tiebreaker with Anclote and Fivay over eligibility concerns.
The Florida High School Athletic Association ruled him eligible Thursday, and he returned for last night’s basketball game against Fivay.
Roberts is a three-sport star who will be one of the Bulldogs’ top basketball players this season. He also earned district championships in the 100 meters and high jump in track as a sophomore.
