St. Petersburg Catholic 45, Admiral Farragut 43: Michael Fridella scored a team-high 15 as the Barons built a 36-30 lead through three quarters and withstood a Blue Jackets rally in the fourth.
Shorecrest 51, IRC 48: The Chargers had a big second quarter, outscoring the Golden Eagles 14-9. Jay Joyer scored 22 to lead Shorecrest.
Seminole 60, Pinellas Park 46: Both teams combine for 16 3-pointers. The Warhawks’ Matt Cassity makes eight of them to give his team a much-needed boost after a loss to St. Petersburg last week.
Northside 67, CC Catholic 57: The Mustangs have four players — Max Massengill, Ryan Wilkerson, Jonny Scott and Joe Chapman — reach double figures in a district win.
Girls basketball
Calvary Christian 54, East Lake 35: The Crusaders (10-1) are officially a team to watch after traveling to East Lake and beating the much bigger public school. Freshman guard Savannah Plentovich led the way with 20 points. Sister Carley Plentovich added 13 and Caroline Andreassen had 10. East Lake was led by Jazmine Vaval, who scored 16.

Matt Cassity, Seminole: His outside shooting helped make up for the loss of Justin Hollis (knee injury). Cassity scored a team-high 32, including eight 3-pointers, in a win over Pinellas Park.
Jordan Leston, Clearwater: The Tornadoes’ quarterback had his best game on the hardwood, scoring a team-high 23 in a win over Northeast.
Caroline Shelton, Indian Rocks Christian: Shelton scored 26, including four 3-pointers, in her team’s 61-24 win over Shorecrest.
Erwin Vargas, Dunedin: Vargas scored his first goal of the season in the second half against Boca Ciega, and it turned out to be the winner in a 1-0 victory.
