KISSIMMEE - Don’t expect any hints from Armwood safety Leon McQuay III heading into his college announcement Friday.
The four-star recruit and ESPN’s No. 32 overall prospect was quiet about his recruitment after Wednesday’s practice for this week’s Under Armour All-America Game at Tropicana Field. He plans to announce his decision during Friday’s game.
At a media luncheon, ESPN’s No. 3 safety prospect said his five finalists remain Florida State, Michigan, Oregon, USC and Vanderbilt. The 6-foot-2, 183-pound senior wouldn’t say whether he’s narrowed his list further or whether he’s already made a decision.
“I’ll be all right,” McQuay said.
McQuay declined to elaborate on what factors will affect his commitment other than saying that he’ll choose the school where he feels most comfortable.
