Gulf has identified its top eight candidates for its head football coaching position, the school announced Monday.
The school will begin interviews this week. Eight of the candidates include:
Bruno Buonsanto (Gulf weightlifting coach)
Peter DiNovo (youth coach and father of East Lake QB/UCF commit Pete DiNovo)
Michael Lube (former USF player and grad assistant)
Craig Moore (Anclote assistant)
Ken Davis
Chris Sands (Gibbs assistant)
Joe Skladany
Jason Messamore (East Lake assistant)
Gulf is looking to replace Tom Carter, who departed at the end of the Buccaneers’ 0-10 season. The longtime Land O’Lakes assistant finished 2-18 in his two years at Gulf.
