Academy at the Lakes sophomore Ethan Haslam needed less than two years to eclipse a career milestone.
The 6-foot-3 standout guard scored his 1,000th career point during Saturday’s 55-50 win over Seffner Christian, his father and coach, Tom, said over the weekend.
Haslam is averaging 18.8 points, 4.9 rebounds and 2.1 steals per game this winter for the 9-7 Wildcats.
As a freshman, he earned second-team all-North Suncoast honors by averaging 18.4 points per game. His 39 points against All Saints’ Academy helped lift his team to the Class 2A region final.
