Wiregrass Ranch senior Chris Parra passed another career milestone this week – and teammate Rico Kerney will likely join him soon.
Parra scored his 1,500th career point Tuesday night in the Bulls’ 82-80 overtime loss to Tampa Catholic, Wiregrass coach Jeremy Calzone said Friday. Parra finished that game with 21 points and six assists. The 5-foot-11 guard is averaging 16 points per game this winter.
Kerney isn’t too far behind. Calzone said Kerney is 14 points away from reaching the 1,500-point mark. The 6-foot-2 guard leads the Bulls in scoring (22.7 points per game), rebounding (10.6 per game) and steals (3.0 per game). He can reach his next milestone tonight when Wiregrass travels to Land O’Lakes.
