Largo defensive lineman Harry Brown said he committed to Florida Tech this week.
Brown, a Times all-Pinellas County first-team selection, had offers from Coastal Carolina and Georgetown, among others. But he decided on Florida Tech because it has a four-year engineering program.
“That was big for me,” Brown said. “The other schools I looked at all had pre-engineering, and had would had to go to graduate school to finish an engineering degree.”
This past season, Brown had 60 tackles, six sacks and a fumble recovery for the Packers, who went undefeated in the regular season and lost in the first round of the playoffs to Armwood.
Brown said he play outside linebacker at Florida Tech.
