Jefferson safety Keivontae Turk, a Tampa Bay Times’ first-team all-Hillsborough pick, has orally committed to Stillman College, according to Dragons coach Jeremy Earle.

Turk, a 5-foot-11, 195-pound senior, had 92 tackles, two sacks and two interceptions as one of the leaders of the Dragons’ defense this fall.

He has been a four-year contributor at Jefferson and was a sophomore starter during the school’s undefeated Class 3A state championship run in 2010.

Stillman, a liberal arts school of about 1,000 students in Tuscaloosa, Ala., competes in the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference of NCAA Division II. The Tigers have one player from the bay area, sophomore offensive tackle Michael Moore of King High.
