Tarpon Springs guard JT Aguilar reached the 1,000-point career milestone against River Ridge last week.
The senior, who is a four-year starter, is 35 points shy of the school record for most points in a career. He already holds the school career records for assists and steals. In December, he was voted MVP of the Keswick Christian Invitational after leading the Spongers to the title.
Also, Osceola guard Freeman Hinson reached the 1,000-point mark.
He has scored 20 or more points in 11 of the past 12 games, including 21 against Palmetto two weeks ago that helped the Warriors secure the No. 2 seed in Class 6A, District 12.
Hinson also had a 3-point shot at the buzzer to beat East Lake 70-69 and scored a career-high 31 against Suwannee in the Hitchcock Christmas Tournament in Alachua County. He made the all-tournament team by averaging 26.5 points over four games. He also won first place in the skills challenge.
