Former Bishop McLaughlin pitcher Cory Woodward has signed with Jacksonville University, his father, Gary, said in an email.
Woodward, a right-hander, pitched three scoreless innings for the Hurricanes last year and batted in eight runs. He threw out 11 would-be stealers at catcher.
Woodward transferred to Elev8 Sports Institute in Delray Beach and has an 0.88 ERA in 27 innings this spring.
