Baseball super seven
Records through Wednesday
1. East Lake (16-3): Eagles had a rivalry game against Tarpon Springs on Thursday, and games next week against Dixie Hollins, Dunedin and Clearwater to end the regular season.
2. Clearwater Central Catholic (20-3): Bounced back from a one-run loss to Calvary Christian with a one-run win over Palm Harbor University. Marauders look ready for district play.
3. Seminole (15-6): Warhawks have been looking forward to Saturday’s Jesuit game all season. Let’s see if they can knock off one of the nation’s top teams.
4. Calvary Christian (17-4): Warriors won six straight prior to Thursday’s game against Countryside. They are hitting .346 as a team.
5. St. Petersburg (11-8): Green Devils had a losing record prior to the Georgiadias tournament, but have won six of seven since.
6. Dunedin (13-7): Falcons’ Kellen Brown is hitting .500, and Aaron Chesson and Alex Hart have been reliable on the mound. Do the Falcons have enough hitting and pitching to finish strong?
7. Pinellas Park (14-8): Patriots lost three straight at the Dunedin tournament, but have now won three straight.
