Spring game-breakers: Relying on a big, veteran offensive line, St. Petersburg Catholic rolled up big yards on the ground Friday, rushing for 322 yards. The benefactors were Jaquan Fuller and Tony Jones, who each rushed for 100 yards. Fuller had 116; Jones 100. Stephon Williams did most of the scoring for the Barons, rushing for three touchdowns, two on short runs. … Jack Sheehan was 9-of-13 for 130 yards, including an 11-yard touchdown pass to Markqus Ruppell. … SPC’s defense was just as strong, stopping IRC on downs three times in the second half. The Barons’ Elevisi Halapio wreaked havoc on the defensive line, recording three sacks and numerous quarterback pressures. … The Golden Eagles’ biggest playmaker was Theo Anderson, who rushed for 155 yards on six carries, including a 70-yard run for a touchdown. … IRC quarterback Damian King rushed for 71 yards and threw a 5-yard pass to Ryan Ferguson for the Golden Eagles’ other score.
