Wesley Chapel and Wiregrass Ranch have both announced recent coaching moves:
Steve Mumaw has been named Wesley Chapel’s new baseball coach, Wildcats athletic director Mike Rogers said in an email. Mumaw was the school’s first baseball coach from 1999-2004 – and left a minor-league job in the Devil Rays system to do so. He also served as the school’s AD. Mumaw replaces Chuck Yingling, who stepped down in June after leading the Wildcats to the Class 5A playoffs.
Wesley Chapel also named Michael Dinwiddie its new girls golf coach and Ginger Lynn as its new boys soccer coach.
Wiregrass Ranch tapped Jeremy Calzone as its new girls golf coach. He also coaches the Bulls’ boys basketball team and led Wiregrass to a 20-8 record and the Class 7A playoffs last winter.
Alisa Cimino and Adam Stoll will be the school’s new swimming coaches, Wiregrass athletic director Dave Wilson said in a text message.
